On July 12-15 of the current year, representatives of the Agency of the republic of Kazakhstan on regulation of activities of the Regional financial centre of Almaty city (ARA RFCA) and the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on regulation and supervision of financial market and financial organizations (FSA) visited the Republic of Poland in order to exchange experience on realization of programs directed at increasing financial literacy of population.

Agency on regulation of activities of the Regional financial centre of Almaty city (ARA RFCA) conducted its ordinary meeting of the board.

Agenda included consideration of questions as realization of tasks of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, realization of the Program on enhancement of financial literacy and investment culture of the population.

Top-management of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on regulation of activities of the regional financial centre of Almaty city had a meeting with Mohamed J. Berro, President of “Al Hilal Bank” (UAE), Khaled J. Atwan, General Councilor on legal issues of “Al Hilal Bank” (UAE), and Prasad Abraham, President of “Al Hilal” Islamic Bank” JSC.

There were discussed possibilities and mechanisms of co-operation of EBRD with the structures of the Regional financial centre of Almaty city (RFCA), including Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) and Commodity Exchange “Eurasian trading system” (ETS).

On April 27, 2010 top management of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on regulation of activities of the regional financial centre of Almaty city (ARA RFCA) gave a report to Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President Kazakhstan on work carried out in 2009, and informed on the course of realization of tasks set by the President and defined main plans of activity for next years.

Financial-management business school “Academy of RFCA” in accordance with new demands of the market and fundamentals of the Address of the President “New decade – New economic rise – New opportunities of Kazakhstan” worked out a Program on professional development of university teachers of finance and economics of the country, that will give an opportunity to update knowledge and increase professionalism of the teachers significantly.   

Today during the special press-conference the group of operators of the national stock exchange announced on creation of Kazakhstan association of professional participants of securities market (KASD).

Astana, April 21, 2010. KazMunaiGaz Exploration Production JSC (KMG EP) declared that the next specialized trades on purchasing privileged shares of the company in the trading system of KASE will be conducted from April 30 till May 28, 2010.

On April 21 of the current year there were held several measures including round table with participation of representatives of ARA RFCA, Akimat of Mangystau oblast and regional companies on issues of entering the stock market, meeting with public servants on issues of explaining amendments to legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan that gives them an opportunity to invest in the stock market, and information educational lecture for students of Caspian State University named after Sh. Yessenov.

Among participants of the meeting there were Arken Arystanov, Chairman of the Agency, Chingiz Kanapyanov, Deputy Chairman of the Agency and other staff of the Agency.

Delegation of the South Korea was headed by Min PengTok, Senior Vice-President, the member of the board in Kookmin Bank.
