Information-educational centers of RFCA

In order to inform the general public and potential regional issuers of development of the Kazakhstani stock market and to provide the information on the RFCA activities, the Information and Education Centers of the Regional Financial Center of Almaty (hereinafter referred to as the “RFCA IEC”) on the basis of transfer and agency sectors of JSC Kazpochta have been established within the frames of the following public programs:

1. Improvement of the Investment and Financial Literacy of the Population Program for 2007-2009 approved by Republic of Kazakhstan Government Decree No.536, dated June 27, 2007;

2. Regional Financial Center of Almaty Development by 2010 Program approved by Resolution No.68 of the RK Agency Chairman for Regulation of Activities of the Regional Financial Center of Almaty dated December 8, 2006.

The goal of the RFCA IEC is to arrange the system of education and enhancement of the financial sector knowledge of the population with the purpose of attracting individuals to operate in the equity market as private investors and explanation of issues on regional companies’ entrance to the stock market, in particular, to the RFCA special trading floor.

The functions of the RFCA IEC are as follows: 

·          Provision of educational services with regard to the securities market fundamentals to the population in the regions;

·          Clarification of issues on regional companies’ entrance to the stock market;

·          Provision of the information on capital mobilization and investment methods for domestic companies through the stock market;

·          Explanation of the issues on the activities of the Regional Financial Center, as a whole, and Special Trading Floor, in particular.
