Regional financial centre of Almaty city and JSC "Stock Exchange RTS" established JSC "Commodity Exchange "Eurasian trading system" (ETS) located in Almaty city.

New commodity exchange is oriented to carry out spot and futures tenders by exchange commodities. Prority areas of activity of ETS will be conducting of derivative commodity exchange tenders. The first tender on ETS is planned to be carried out in the first quarter of 2009. Initialization of contracts on grain and fuel and lubricant materials is planned to be conducted in the first place.

Planned volume of tenders on ETS in 2009 will make: on grain - 1-1,2 mln of tonnes; on diesel oil - 2,5-3 mln of tonnes; on residual oil - 2,5-3 mln of tonnes.

In the near future there will be carried out initialization of commoditiy index and futures on commodity index. Participants of tenders on ETS will be ultimate customers of production and commodity and stock brokers from among market participants of Russia and Kazakhstan.

"Creation of exchange floor of such level on the basis of RFCA will become the proof of Kazakhstan's devotion to the previously announced strategic priorities for the regional and global players",-marked during his report Mr Arken Arystanov the Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on regulation of activities of the regional financial centre of Almaty city (ARA RFCA).

"Technological and IT platforms of RTS and succesful experience in organizing commodity market and exchange trades make it possible to create effective commodity exchange, with transparent prices on the most important commodities of the region",-reported Mr Roman Goryunov, Chairman of the Board, JSC "RTS".

Initial basic capital of the new exchange makes $533 000. Moreover stake of RTS in authorised capital - 60%, RFCA - 40%.
