Academy of RFCA started professional development of university teachers of finance

Financial-management business school “Academy of RFCA” in accordance with new demands of the market and fundamentals of the Address of the President “New decade – New economic rise – New opportunities of Kazakhstan” worked out a Program on professional development of university teachers of finance and economics of the country, that will give an opportunity to update knowledge and increase professionalism of the teachers significantly.   

From April 12 till 17, 2010 33 teachers of finance, including doctors and candidates of economic sciences were educated according to the stated program. The educational program was conducted with support and initiative of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on regulation of activities of the regional financial centre of Almaty city (ARA RFCA).

Requirements that are made by the current market to the teachers of finance and economics are sufficiently pragmatic, but nowadays education in university gives students only narrow economic concept on functioning of financial markets, dealership practice.

Slow pace of professional development and renovation of faculty is the most significant factor that affects educational sphere and specifically finance and economics.

The project is unique by its practical-training component. During the seminars and trainings on stock exchange of the Republic of Kazakhstan participants of the educational program could acquire knowledge on activity of state bodies as ARA RFCA and FSA, and activities of exchanges as KASE and ETS, Central Depository, also they had meetings with brokers.

Among participants of the seminar there were teachers from Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai, Turan University, University named after S. Demirel, KBTU, magistracy of the National Bank under KazEU, KazEU, KazATC, Academy of economics and statistics and Academy of Banking.

According to the feedback of teachers that took part in educational program “the start of the program was very successful”. “The usefulness of the program is in its practical-training component, which is essential for the teachers of finance and economics”,- remarked listeners of the seminar.

Thereby, creation of Institute of Professional Development especially for the teachers of economics and finance will give an opportunity form a whole stratum of advanced, practice-oriented, and mobile teachers in the best universities of Kazakhstan.
