Germany needs huge natural resources that we have in Kazakhstan, including all the types of metals, oil, gas, coal. At the same time, Germany has technologies that we need in”, — said N. Nazarbayev, making report during Kazakhstan-Germany economic forum in Astana on Sunday. “I agree that economies of Kazakhstan and Germany complementary. They can derive mutual benefit”, — said A. Merkel. “Providing reliable energy supply is becoming very important issue, and Kazakhstan is on the fourth place according to the volumes of energy resources supplied to Germany. Germany can contribute to modernization of Kazakhstan”, — noticed A. Merkel. Investment documents signed in the framework of the forum became the evidences of the partnership between two countries. “As it was informed by the first Vice-Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan – 35 documents have been signed in the framework of the forum to the amount of € 2 bn. It is a good beginning”, — said N. Nazarbayev. Ministry of industry and new technologies informed about following documents that were signed during the forum: Memorandum on mutual partnership between the National railway company “Kazakhstan Temir zholy” and Siemens according to the project in the sphere of energy supply and procurement (the cost of the project € 400 mn); Memorandum on partnership between METRO company and “KaznexInvest” JSC (construction of 15 trading centers METRO in Kazakhstan, € 200 mn); Memorandum on partnership between Akimat of Atyrau oblast and Knauf on the project of construction of the factory of dry mixes (€ 65 mn) and etc. Besides that, there were signed an agreement between Kazakhstan development bank and Deutsche Bank to the amount of € 500 mn for financing strategically important projects on development of Kazakhstan and import of technologically developed and innovational components for industrial projects, carried out in the framework of the state program on forced industrial-innovational development of Kazakhstan, reported the press-service of the DBK.
