Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan to place MEKKAM in amount of KZT15bn

Trades on placement of state short-term treasury obligations of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Finance (MEKKAM-9, 16^th issue) will be conducted in trading system of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on September 2, 2010.

The exchange reported on Tuesday that the declared volume of the placement makes up KZT15bn (current rate – 147.14/$1). Nominal value — KZT100, circulation term – 273 days.

Applications for participation in trades are submitted using the closed method from 09:00 till 11:00, September 2, 2010. The method of satisfaction of the limited application – on the weighed average price.

MEKKAM is placed among unlimited groups of investors. Applications for participation in the specialized trades can be submitted only by the members of KASE that act as primary dealers (“K” category). Investors can apply through the stated legal bodies.
